Thanks for this meaningful information, but i just want to know that MMk (bbm)has just started last year so is it the good college ..????ma bro had applied in that college & he has scored 78%in his syjc so coul u plz tell me if he can get through the admission process of mmk…?????????
Yes, your brother can definitely go through MMK…Infact he also has a chance to get into so many good coolleges like MITHIBAI, UPG, NATIONALS…..
So dont worry buddy…He will sail through easily….
And YOU just relax …..
how many of these colleges mentioned above has a crash course in direction…I have heard about some of these colleges having them, but am unsure which are they.. I am intending to take up such a course along with my BMM
mention of RUIA would be there..this is not a blog to promote any colleges as such..As andd when any queries realting to RUIA would be there, you would automatically see the mention for the same
Sir, none of the above colleges have a crash course in direction…..They do conduct some workshops as part of the BMM Curriculum…
And crash course is of no use in the field of DIRECCTION….Go in for a course alongwith yourBMM, and i am sure you will not be able to cope up with it….
Do your BMM first, and then explore options which you are comfortable with….
Direction is SERIOUS CAREER….
ALL the very best….Take Care and do revert in case of more queries
Ok thats a bit tough…one but here is my take on it!!
Acads wise not much of a difference….As there is common syllabus….taught all round ….
Faculty , you have a fair mix of visting and inhouse faculties in Sophiya’s …There are more INhouse Faculties in KC which will be able to help you whenever you need them….Extra Curriculars again is encouraged in both the colleges….
Industry Exposure is more in SOPHAYA’s as compared to KC because they have avery strong alumni base….Also, it is known for it’s sincere education and great campus experience…If you want to be a great learner, choose SOPHAYAs and DO Well!!!
Do let me know your decision though and what made you consider that decision!!
Hi Kalpesh,
Faculty wise , i would rate as following:
RUIA, Somaiya, KHALSA …..Whats your Percentage in HSC??
Well, you have to take an appointment with the AUTHORITIES in the respective colleges and then you would learn more about Management Seats….
IF I GET INTO DIRECTION OR STUFF RELATING TO THE FILM INDUSTRY, WILL IT REALLY WORK FOR ME WHEN I FINISH MY COURSES? I AM ASKING THIS COZ I’VE HEARD DAT GETTING IN2 THE FILM INDUSTRY IS DIFFICULT AS HELL AND THERE ARE “MANY” STRUGGLERS OUT THERE AND THAT PEOPLE GET A CHANCE ONLY IF U HAVE VERY GOOD CONTACTS(WELL MOSTLY)………..PLZZZZ REPLY
Hi Aakash,
Yes you have heard it right…..
Well Well, you need to have good contacts to get into the film industry the especially into the field of your own liking….(DIRECTION, ACTING)
Normally in BMM they ddo teach you the basics of FILM mAKING…..Thats why this course is advisable to you…..
You start in a PRODUCTION HOUSE and then make yourself go UP from there into the field of your own liking , if you dont have contacts !!
But normally you make contacts in BMM by participating in festivals where, DIRECCTORS come as JUDGES normally and you get a chance to NETWORK!!
i’v hav scored really very less, due to sum problems.
50%…i have a OBC caste certificate, but then i think i have to go with the management seat.
I think i am getting an admission in M.D college in parel 4 BMM , but I am not quite sure about it’s quality and i have already secured admission in Podar, matunga 4 BComm. I am confused what should I do???
Hi dear i got 66percentage in HSC exams . i was in arts feilds and i have taken admission in V.G. VAZE KELKAR college and i want to know wheather kelkar college is good for BMM course please reply me soon
hi poonam,

If yes then tell me coz then i would be able to guide you better….

Yes if you manage to get in khalsa, Take it (only if you have no options left)

22Hi Shallaka…
I would consider both to bbe at the same levels…
If your brother stays in Suburbs, tell him to go for Bhavans….
But if he stays in the central line then patkar is a good option!!
